Life Beyond Degree: BioSci Part 1: If you’re not networking, you’re NOT working.

The Biological Sciences Department and the Center for Career and Professional Success is hosting, Life Beyond Degree: BioSci an interactive presentation about networking best practices.

Join us Monday January 14th from 4:15- 5:15PM in 0001 Jennings Hall to learn about best practices and effective strategies for networking.

This engaging workshop will help you understand characteristics of an elevator pitch is and it's necessity, how to incorporate the Career Readiness Competencies in an elevator pitch and the opportunity to prepare and practice your own pitch. You will then be equipped to implement the strategies learned in the workshop when connecting with alumni during LBD: Part 2. Additional content that will be covered; utilizing social media to connect with alumni and employers.

Life Beyond Degree (LBD) events support students in the Discovery Phase by increasing their awareness of career options and career readiness competencies (CRCs) through interactions with alumni and other Career Success Champions.
