Add to Calendar 2020-06-30 11:00:00 2020-06-30 12:00:00 Summer Success: "Columbus Parks and Recreation Information Session" (Virtual) Time: 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Event Host: ASC Career Success Parks and Recreation Dept., City of Columbus WHO: Kara Johnson, Development Coordinator, Recreation and Parks Dept, City of Columbus WHAT & WHY: Kara will be speaking about paid and volunteer internship roles, some of which can be counted for academic credit. The positions can be filled by students during the academic year and over the summer. These positions range from community and public relations interns, to summer recreation aides, event planners, social media managers, policy and communications interns, etc. Kara will share details about these roles, what it takes to be successful when applying for and filling them, as well as what it is like to work in the field of Parks and Recreation. We are looking for students of ALL majors and grade levels to apply. They prefer applicants that have a commitment to customer service, an interest in working outdoors, an ability to manage projects and deadlines, and excellent communication skills, including writing and editing.
