Are you someone who wants to better understand the challenges your female peers face when working in a male-dominated field? This two day Development Academy, presented by the College of Arts and Sciences Career Success, offers opportunities to learn from women who have achieved success by overcoming barriers and are working to eliminate gender stereotypes in all industries. Network with your peers and learn from women whom have gone before you! Learning Objectives Students will actively engage in the process of career management by attending this symposium and critical thinking about how to be successful in the workplace. Students will gain tools on how to make positive impressions and practice professionalism in the workplace. Students will begin to understand the skills needed to be a leader in the workplace such as leveraging the strengths of others to achieve common goals and using interpersonal skills to coach and develop others. Students will gain an understanding of the importance of respectfully interacting with others from all backgrounds and appreciating individual differences in others.
