Arts and Sciences Students Shine at the Denman

Thirty-five arts and sciences students placed out of more than 700 students who participated in the 18th Annual Richard J. and Martha D. Denman Undergraduate Research Forum on March 28. The Honors and Scholars Center and the Undergraduate Research Office announced the winning presentations; students in 11 categories were recognized in an awards ceremony and received cash prizes.

The Denman Undergraduate Research Forum was created in 1996 and is a cooperative effort of Ohio State’s Honors & Scholars Center, the Undergraduate Research Office, and the Office of Research. The forum is an opportunity to showcase outstanding student research and encourage all undergraduates to participate in research as a value added element of their education.

“These undergraduates presenting in the forum demonstrate the unrivaled academic, scientific, and social prowess that propels The Ohio State University from excellence to eminence,” said Ohio State President E. Gordon Gee. “They are among the many at Ohio State who take it upon themselves to solve our society’s most pressing problems.”
