Short Description: Matthew Kolodziej lives and works in Ohio.


Matthew Kolodziej lives and works in Ohio. Kolodziej earned a BA in economics from the University of Chicago in 1988 and an MFA in painting from Rhode Island School of Design in 1993. He is a recipient of the Pollock-Krasner Foundation award and a Fulbright Scholar. Kolodziej’s work has been featured in over 70 exhibitions including The Cleveland Museum of Art, Akron Art Museum, Rhode Island School of Design Museum of Art, and Rose Art Museum. Kolodziej is also one of the principal investigators for the Biomimicry Research and Innovation Center at the University of Akron and the founder of Synapse, a science and art lecture series exploring the relationships between disciplines.
