Certificate programs in the College of Arts and Sciences are designed for students and working professionals alike to pursue specific, career-advancing topics that will prepare you with skills, knowledge and experiences. Each certificate program will have its own requirements, with some even being available for post-high school diploma or post-baccalaureate students who are not currently attending Ohio State.
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
The certificate in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion is an interdisciplinary curricular program designed to provide participants with the understanding, knowledge and skills to navigate increasingly diverse social environments and promote equity in the process.
This is a 12-credit undergraduate certificate open to:
- Degree-seeking undergraduate students at Ohio State
- Anyone with a bachelor's degree

For those seeking Extended Education
Extended Education is operated by the Office of Distance Education and eLearning (ODEE), an enrollment unit with special emphasis on academic advising for adult students who want to take undergraduate courses and are not currently interested in earning a degree from Ohio State.
If you are eligible to apply as an extended education student and you have never attended Ohio State, you may apply online. Apply well before the start of semester or session you wish to attend. It may take up to three weeks for your application to be processed.
