This lecture will focus on why diversity is an ethical imperative and the stalled progress for women and minorities at leadership levels in the American workforce. A central problem is the lack of perception that there is a serious problem, or one that society should actively seek to address. The lecture will explore the extent and explanations of the underrepresentation of women and minorities, suggest why it matters, and identify strategies for change.
