City Center Gallery 2018: Drink it In
Time: Times vary
Event Host: Urban Arts Space
"Drink it In" by Zanesville, Ohio, artist John Taylor Lehman is an exhibition showcasing his shrewd use of upcycled and repurposed materials -- in this instance, discarded bottle caps -- and turning them into vivid, highly detailed works of art. In taking these cold, sharp, discarded materials and transforming them into these pieces, Lehman invites the viewer to consider their own relationship to that which we toss away and to conservation itself.
