The residency is presented by the OSU School of Music, Center for Slavic and East-European Studies, and the student organization New Music Collective, with support from the Knowlton School of Architecture. The project will consist of masterclasses, private lessons, meetings with studio ensembles Oct. 14 through Oct. 18, and two 8 p.m. concerts with pre-concert discussions at 7 p.m. before each performance. Schedule: Oct. 14-18: Masterclasses and private lessons during the day. Oct. 14 from 7-9 p.m: Panel discussion on improvisation followed by Anto Pett and Anne-Liis duo recital. Knowlton School of Architecture Auditorium. Oct. 18 from 7-9 p.m: Panel discussion on improvisation in music with Graeme Boone, professor of music, follow by Anto Pett and Anne-Liis Poll duo recital with Michael Torres, lecturer in the School of Music, and selected workshop participants. Two of the world’s most eminent performers and improvisers, Professors Anto Pett, pianist, and Anne-Liis Poll, soprano, of the Estonian Academy of Music and Theater will be in residence at Ohio State to present concerts and masterclasses.
