Short Description: Visualizing place presents a range of challenges perhaps because it is a nebulous concept. Never-the-less, students in the Department of Design present a provocation about the representation of place to stimulate critical conversations.
Visualizing place presents a range of challenges perhaps because it is a nebulous concept. Never-the-less, students in the Department of Design present a provocation about the representation of place to stimulate critical conversations. Six design graduates focus on identifying the heartbeat of the contemporary city. Bringing their diverse backgrounds together, they investigated the transportation system of Columbus with a goal of rethinking, promoting and proposing a healthy city. Their goal is to reframe how people think about transportation, how they use public space and their experiences of mobility.
