The Center for Ethics and Human Values' COMPAS Program on Markets and the Open Society hosts Dr. Helen McCabe (Politics and International Relations, University of Nottingham) for a discussion of her new book, John Stuart Mill, Socialist, with CEHV Director Piers Norris Turner (Associate Professor of Philosophy and, by courtesy, Political Science).

The conversation will examine how J.S. Mill's interest in socialism should inform our understanding of his political ideals and the relationship of socialism to open society.

The event will be held virtually on Zoom. All are welcome to attend. The discussion will not presuppose that audience that attendees have previously read McCabe's book.
