Planetarium Grand Re-Opening

The Department of Astronomy is pleased to announce the public Grand Re-opening of the newly renovated planetarium.
The planetarium now hosts a state-of-the art Spitz SciDome XD extreme definition digital projector and NanoSeam dome, a digital surround-sound system, comfortable theater seating, and numerous other improvements.
The public Grand Re-Opening of our planetarium will be held on International Astronomy Day. Showings of theGrand Opening program will begin at 1 pm, with repeat showings every half hour throughout the afternoon and evening until 9 pm.
Reservations are strongly recommended as seats are filling up fast.
The planetarium capacity is 61, and most seats are expected to be filled. To guarantee a seat at the show of your choice please sign up for your chosen time slot ahead of time using this Eventbrite link.
This event is free and open to all.
Weather-permitting, the Grand Re-Opening will include a star party on the roof of Smith Lab starting at 7:30 pm with views of the heavens through the 12-inch telescope plus numerous smaller telescopes setup on the new observing deck.
