PRISM Workshop: Spatial Analysis in R with sf

The Program in Statistics and Methodology (PRISM) of the Department of Political Science would like to invite you to our workshop on Thursday, March 28, to be held from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Derby Hall 2130. Junior PRISM fellow Ricardo Graiff Garcia will introduce sf (Simple Features), a relatively new and very powerful R package for efficient and tidy spatial analysis that greatly simplifies the process of working with spatial data in R. The workshop covers using sf to manipulate and visualize data with spatial features, and introductory techniques for using spatial data in regression analyses. Knowledge of the tidyverse suite of packages is recommended, but not necessary.
