United Black World Opening Celebration

The Student Life Multicultural Center in collaboration with various departments and student organizations celebrates United Black World Month, also known as Black History Month.

This year’s theme is “We’re Not Finished Yet,” adapted from the National Black History Month theme and in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Civil Rights Movement.

The opening celebration will be held, Monday, February 3. There will be a reception from 6-6:30 pm, immediately followed by keynote speakers Chuck D, author, producer and hip hop artist of the renown socially and politically conscious rap group Public Enemy and Phillip Agnew, director of the Dream Defenders, a non-violent social change organization charged to train and organize youth and students to create real change in their community.
