Just as Amazon can predict what your uncle would want for his birthday, an algorithm based on your uncle's demographic information could likely predict his medical preferences regarding his end of life care — possibly more accurately than his loved ones.
This webinar presentation, lead by Assistant Professor Dana Howard, will offer an ethical examination of the risks and benefits of using algorithm-based tools for medical decision-making.
