Join the Department of African American and African Studies for a book talk with Matthew Morrison. His is an associate professor at NYU and his book, Blacksound: Making Race and Popular Music in the US, traces the political and aesthetic agency of blackface minstrelsy. Registration is required but attendance is free. Refreshments will be served and attendees will have a chance to receive a signed copy of the book.
