To recall suggests an act of re-creation—calling back the past (real or imagined) and re-presenting it using today’s media and language. In collaboration with the Advanced Computing Center for the Arts and Design (ACCAD), Digital Animation and Interactive Media (DAIM) graduate students generate time-based narratives and imagery; many of which use memories as catalysts for their genesis and development. Sometimes nostalgic, sometimes humorous, and sometimes poignant, this exhibition presents MFA student animations and interactive projects produced from 2008 to 2014. It is curated by Associate Professor Alan Price with assistance from Professor and Department Chairperson Mary Anne Beecher. There will be a reception on Thursday, Oct. 16, 4:30-5:30 p.m.For more information, visit the Hopkins Hall Gallery website.
