Join Ohio State Libraries as they celebrate the opening of the new exhibit, “Essential Ingredients: Cookbooks as History.” For this exhibit, they draw from the Rare Books & Manuscripts Library’s collection of nearly 10,000 volumes, celebrating more than 200 years of American cookbooks and their unique ability to offer windows into cultures and histories.
You’ll start the evening with a curator-led tour of the exhibit and follow up with a conversation with Chef and Arts and Sciences alum Avishar Barua. Chef Barua is the chef and owner of Joya’s and Agni and has appeared on Top Chef and Beat Bobby Flay.
