Join us for an informal discussion with Arts and Sciences' Jerry Kocan (Political Science) about the path he has taken to arrive where he is in his career! Jerry is the Dealer Principal and owner of Four Star Freightliner, Inc. and Four Star Rental and Leasing, MereSam Holdings. In his role Jerry operates (7) Seven Freightliner (Daimler) Truck Dealerships in Alabama, Georgia and Florida employing more than 200 employees. Jerry began his professional career with Roadway Express in Atlanta, Georgia before being hired by Caterpillar as their Primary Truck Engine Account Manager in 1986. He was then recruited by VolvoGM Heavy Truck Corporation to open and operate (2) two Commercial Truck Dealerships in Metro Atlanta in 1991.
