Lawrence Finer, Director of Domestic Research, Guttmacher Institute, lectures on "Unintended pregnancy in the United States: new estimates and a proximate-determinants approach to understanding change."

Abstract
The U.S. unintended pregnancy rate has stagnated for many years, but recent changes in U.S. contraceptive use suggest it is a good time to produce new estimates, and new data on pregnancy intendedness are available through 2011. I will report on trends for the population as a whole and by demographic subgroup, and then talk about factors that might have precipitated any observed changes.
