Event Host: Mershon Center for International Security Studies
You are invited to a moderated question-and-answer discussion on Friday, April 5, with His Excellency Linas Linkevičius, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania. This special event will be held in Page Hall, Policy Forum from 12:40-1:40 p.m.
Linkevičius will be in the United States for meetings to mark the 70th anniversary of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). He is coming to Ohio State as an opportunity to speak with Americans about the future of NATO and its importance to American and transatlantic security.
The minister also will discuss Lithuania's perspective on increasing hybrid security threats from Russia, including military activities, disinformation and cybersecurity attacks.
Linkevičius has been Lithuania's foreign minister since 2012. He served earlier as minister of national defense and in other diplomatic and policy roles in the Lithuanian government.
Linkevičius is an engaging, frank speaker and will deliver brief remarks before answering your questions. He will be joined by Rolandas Kriščiūnas, Lithuania's ambassador to the United States.
Please take advantage of this timely, rare opportunity to engage directly with a top official of a NATO and EU member country to discuss current international issues.
