Bengt Sandin is Professor of Child Studies, University of Linköping, Sweden. He is known widely for his research on the social and cultural history of children and childhood, Professor Sandin’s talk will focus on definitions of reading “deficiencies,” and their impact on educational reform and the organization of welfare in Sweden during the 20th century.
