Nationwide is looking for Internal Sales and Service Reps
JOB SUMMARY: Provides efficient service and sales support to producers. Provides efficient service support to customers. Processes business in accordance with government regulations, contract provisions, and internal procedures and controls. Is knowledgeable of our products and can handle different types of inquiries. Analyzes and resolves routine issues. Uncovers routine sales opportunities on service calls with producers and retains assets with Nationwide.
Internal Sales and Service Representative (Financial Services College 2 Career Class of 2018)
Nationwide’s College 2 Career (C2C) Program provides an opportunity for college students to gain professional experience at a Fortune 100 company while working toward their degrees.
If selected for the program, you will be trained during the summer on a full-time basis. Upon successful completion of training, you will be offered a flexible part-time schedule working 20-25 hours per week (no weekends) around your school schedule (possibly more, if desired). The position is in a contact center environment receiving incoming calls from Nationwide Members, Agents and Financial Professionals.
Here’s how it works:
Training:
- Training: Training begins May, June, & July 2019
- Hours during training: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Work Schedule:
- After successfully completing your training, you will transition to a part-time work schedule, working 20-35 hours per week depending on your schedule availability.
- The work schedule includes both morning and evening hours ranging between 8AM and 8PM (no weekends). Your schedule will work around your college classes as much as possible. Team leaders will work with you and adjust your work schedule as needed each semester.

- $18.50 / hour

Required Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in undergraduate degree program
- Enthusiastic, solution-oriented and able to thrive in a fast-paced, customer service oriented environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to effectively prioritize work, school and personal commitments
- Conscientious and able to meet attendance standards
Preferred (but not required) Qualifications:
- Pursuing a bachelors’ degree with 1-2 years of school remaining
- Experience in customer facing position (i.e. retail sales, wait staff, contact center)
