Thu, September 21, 2017
All Day
Denney Hall 311

Time: 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Event Host: Department of English

Join Alyson Patsavas, co-producer of "Code of the Freaks: A Documentary About Disability in Film" in this graduate workshop focussing on analyzing experiences, both corpeal and cultural, of pain and disability.

This workshop will explore what it means to do an interdisciplinary disability studies dissertation or other extended writing project. Patsavas will discuss her article "Recovering a Cripistemology of Pain" as an informal case study of the way a shorter writing project might be expanded to become a book-length manuscript.

Graduate students interested in participating in this workshop should contact Kathleen Griffin to RSVP. Please direct questions to Margaret Price

For more information, visit the event page on the Department of English website.
