The Department of Comparative Studies will host a webinar panel discussion of Canadian-British artist and filmmaker Zev Robinson's documentary "Real Bread Bakers." The documentary, completed just prior to the start of COVID, looks at how baking bread, community, nutrition and agriculture are closely intertwined. In support of the global Instagram fundraising effort #bakersforUkraine, our panelists will discuss "Real Bread Bakers" and the issues it raises, including but not limited to how the war in Ukraine — the breadbasket of Europe — will have numerous knock-on effects beyond the senseless loss of life and beyond the region itself.
