Abstract: The Department of Defense has become increasingly concerned with the potential for climate change to spark armed conflict and that climate change has and will have negative effects on U.S. military installations and operations. Are these fears well-grounded or is this an instance of “threat inflation”? How should the Pentagon respond to climate change?
