Readiness Competencies Certificate

Thank you for your interest in the College of Arts and Science's Center for Career Success Spring Training Program. These training courses are designed to develop your professional skills, and they make a great resume builder! The following form is for ASC undergraduate and graduate majors to submit interest in the trainings listed in the form.
The first round deadline to complete the application is February 7th at midnight. The second round deadline to submit an application is Sunday, February 21st at 12am midnight. First round applicants will be reviewed, considered, and granted a communication on the status of their application during the week of February 15th. Second round applicants will be reviewed, considered, and granted a communication on the status of their application during the week of February 22nd.
Selected students will complete their certifications for free, but please note that there are a limited number of seats, and we cannot accept all students that apply. If selected to complete an instructor led course you will be registered for the training course on the date that you select on the following page. If selected to complete a self-guided course, you will be asked to share which date you would like to begin the training and will be provided registration details. All self-guided courses must be completed within three weeks of the start date you select on the following page. Upon completion of the course, you will receive a formal certification. Click the links in the form to read more about the instructor led classes and details are provided on the self-guided courses.
Because of this program's competitive nature, we ask that you answer the question on the following page about how this program will relate to your degree or desired career. Though the statement is optional, we highly suggest that you include this to be a competitive applicant.
If selected for an instructor led training, you will be required to sign a document stating that you will attend your training on the date that you select on the following page. If selected for a self-guided training, you will be required to sign a document stating that you will complete your training within three weeks of the start date you select on the following page.
These courses have a $395 value, if you do not complete the course, you may incur sanctions including, but not limited to:
- Hold on your course registration
- Restrictions on Career Success services and programming such as VMock, career coaching, or other funding opportunities
- Losing access to Handshake
