Are you motivated to combat systemic inequity in the US education system? Are you interested in learning how you could use your skills to support students across the country? If so, join Ashley Dzurnak for an in-depth session around what it's like to serve with City Year as an AmeriCorps member! At City Year we believe that developing the skills and mindsets of children and young adults contributes to strong, vibrant communities. Diverse teams of City Year AmeriCorps members provide support to students, classrooms and the whole school, helping to ensure that students in systemically under-resourced schools receive a high-quality education that prepares them with the skills and mindsets to thrive and contribute to their community. Our City Year AmeriCorps member work in schools full time for 11 months, partnering with teachers and schools to create learning environments where all students can build on their strengths and fully engage in their learning. Join this session to learn more about our mission and values, our model and the AmeriCorps member role, our locations, position benefits, and more.
