Cindy Bronson, EEOB, Receives 2011 Access Award

Cindy Bronson, lecturer in the Department of Evolution, Ecology and Organismal Biology, was given a 2011 Access Award by the Office for Disability Services. These awards honor staff members who have gone above and beyond the call of duty while working with students registered with the ODS to make Ohio State a more accessible and welcoming environment for students with disabilities.

Bronson was presented with her Access Award on April 29th. Her nominator wrote (excerpted):

“Dr. Bronson has shown how a faculty member can positively impact a student’s experience here at OSU, especially for our students at ODS. Dr. Bronson has shown a sincere and avid interest in helping students with specific accommodations in several ways, but she does this most notably by making it her priority to be on-site in our office while students are taking her exams. She makes herself available, in person……….to answer questions. Very few instructors do this on occasion, much less every time a student has an exam. If for some reason Dr. Bronson cannot be at ODS, she makes sure a TA is present….”
