Hadad Appointed Associate Dean NMS

Peter March, dean, natural and mathematical sciences, has announced the appointment of Christopher Hadad, professor of chemisty, as associate dean of natural and mathematical sciences effective September 1, 2011.

Hadad is a highly accomplished chemist who applies experimental and computational techniques to a broad range of problems ranging from atmospheric and combustion chemistry to biological and photo-chemistry. Since 2006, he has served as vice chair for Undergraduate Studies in the Department of Chemistry and has been deeply involved in semester conversion and with planning for the Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering and Chemistry Building (CBEC).

“I am confident that the College of Arts and Sciences will benefit greatly from the breadth and depth of his experience in discovery, learning and engagement,” said March.

Dave Andereck will return to the faculty after fourteen years of service as associate dean of natural and mathematical sciences.
