Killing Bin Laden worsened Americans’ views of U.S. Muslims
Erik Nisbet, assistant professor, communication, is one of the leaders of a nationwide survey of Americans’ perceptions and attitudes about Muslim Americans prior to and after Bin Laden’s death. Nisbet’s findings are published in a paper titled, The “Bin Laden” Effect: How American Public Opinion About Muslim Americans Shifted in the Wake of Osama Bin Laden’s Death.
