Local theatre company with Ohio State ties announces off-Broadway debut
Local theatre troupe, the for/word company which has strong ties to the Department of Theatre at Ohio State has announced its off-Broadway debut. The company has been selected by the Drama Desk award-winning 59E59 Theaters to present two of its shows, North and Little Book, in rotating repertory October 4-28 in New York City. The company includes Jennifer Schlueter, assistant professor of theatre; Brad Steinmetz, lecturer; Karen Mozingo, lecturer; Christopher Roche, PhD student; and alumni Christina Ritter, Kal Poole, and Elizabeth Dekker.
Little Book, first performed in Seattle in 2011, is a new play by Schlueter about author EB White and the writing of his classic book, Stuart Little. North, also by Schlueter, first performed in Chicago in 2008, is the story of a meeting between Anne Morrow Lindbergh and French author Antoine de Saint-Exupery.
