The Emerging Technology Studio (ETS), part of ASC Technology Services in the College of Arts and Sciences, has announced a new collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to support artificial intelligence (AI) research, teaching and career development opportunities across the college community. 

ETS will serve as a central point of connection between faculty, students, researchers and AWS. The partnership supports the College of Arts and Sciences’ commitment to multidisciplinary research and creating opportunities for faculty and students across academic disciplines to engage with emerging AI technologies.

It will provide faculty and researchers with access to AWS technical expertise, cloud resources and financial support for research and technology projects, including up to $250,000 in AWS Promotional Credits for Ohio State Accelerator Awardees. Faculty, researchers and students will also have opportunities to participate in AWS workshops, office hours and training sessions. For students, the partnership will provide hands-on learning opportunities to build technology skills and prepare for future careers.

Currently, ETS and AWS are supporting AI ProjectSpace, a secure environment where faculty, students and researchers can experiment with Artificial Intelligence (AI), develop prototypes and turn promising ideas into practical applications. Together, ETS and AWS will help the university community develop, test and advance new ideas and technology solutions.
