OSU Department of Theatre Presents 'Living Out' Downtown
The Ohio State Department of Theatre heads downtown this fall to present the play Living Out by Lisa Loomer at CAPA's Vern Riffe Studio One Theatre, 77 S. High St. The play, directed by Maureen Ryan and featuring a cast of eight graduate and undergraduate students, opens October 27 and runs through November 6.
Living Out is a witty drama that explores the challenges faced by today's working mothers. Nancy is a California entertainment lawyer who hires Ana, an educated woman from El Salvador and an illegal/undocumented immigrant with children of her own. Both women are smart, hard-working mothers. Though each shares similar conflicts, the story illustrates how different ideas in race, class, and power can hinder a mutually supportive relationship and the potentially damaging consequences.
Living Out will be presented October 27-29 at 7:30 pm; October 30 at 3 pm; November 2 at 11 am; November 3-5 at 7:30 pm; and November 6 at 3 pm. Tickets are available from the Ohio State theatre box office; (614) 292-2295, or by calling CAPA's ticket office at (614) 469-0939.
