Casting is announced for the co-production of Shakespeare’s Antony and Cleopatra, produced by the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC), The Public Theater in New York and Miami’s GableStage. The show will premiere in Stratford- upon-Avon, UK, in November, before traveling to the U.S. for engagements in Miami and New York early next year. It is the latest RSC project presented in collaboration with The Ohio State University.

This unique company has been cast in both the US and the UK and comprises five actors from each country to make up the cast of Shakespeare’s historical play of love and politics.

The production will be directed by former RSC International Playwright in Residence Tarell Alvin McCraney, who recently was named one of 24 recipeints of the MacArthur "Genius" Award. The fellowships from the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation come with a stipend of $625,000 paid over five years.
