Urban Arts Space Hosts "Down on Town: OSU Department of Art Faculty Exhibition"

The OSU Urban Arts Space presents The Ohio State University's talented teaching artists in its upcoming Down on Town: OSU Department of Art Faculty Exhibition, opening Tuesday, October 18. The exhibition will feature the work of 24 current Ohio State faculty, over a third of whom have been recognized by the National Endowment for the Arts. These award-winning artists include individuals who have made long-standing contributions of public art in and around Columbus; devotees who are working to establish creative spaces in the community; as well as the department's newest addition to the faculty.

Artists include: Carmel Buckley, Malcolm Cochran, Alison Crocetta, Robert Ladislas Derr, Ann Hamilton, Richard Harned, Rebecca Harvey, Scot Kaplan, Laura Lisbon, Charles Massey, Jr., Shane Mecklenburger, Tony Mendoza, Michael Mercil, Ken Rinaldo, George Rush, Kate Shannon, Suzanne Silver, Sergio Soave, Todd Slaughter, John Thrasher, Steve Thurston, Ed Valentine, Pheoris West and Amy Youngs.

Down on Town will be on view through Friday, December 9 at the Urban Arts Space, 50 W. Town Street in the historic Lazarus Building in downtown Columbus.
