Michael Aman, professor of psychology and psychiatry, received the 2011 Edgar A. Doll Award from the American Psychological Association (APA). This award is in recognition of a career marked by outstanding scientific contributions to the field of intellectual and developmental disabilities. Aman is an experimental psychologist, collaborator, and principal investigator on a number of pharmacological and behavioral studies. He is coordinator of Ohio State’s doctoral program in Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. He has been extensively involved in development of standardized rating instruments, including the Aberrant Behavior Checklist and the Nisonger Child Behavior Rating Form.

Wil Cunningham, associate professor, psychology, received the 2011 Janet T. Spence Award from the Association for Psychological Science (APS). This award was established to recognize transformative early career contributions to psychological science. Cunningham is a social cognitive neuroscientist. The main goal of his work is to understand the cognitive and motivational processes that underlie emotional responses. His application of fMRI/EEG methods is a model approach to examining the underpinnings of prejudice.
