Psychologist Recognized for Career Achievement

Russell Fazio, the Harold E. Burtt Professor of Psychology, is the 2010 recipient of the Donald T. Campbell Award for Distinguished Contributions to Social Psychology by the Society for Personality and Social Psychology. The award is given to an active social psychologist for career achievement in research.

Fazio received his PhD from Princeton University in 1978. He joined the faculty at Ohio State in 2001 as Distinguished Professor of Social and Behavioral Sciences, Department of Psychology. His research focuses on attitude formation, change, and accessibility, attitude-behavior consistency, and social cognition.

The Society for Personality and Social Psychology is the largest organization of social and personality psychologists in the world. The Society fosters scientific research in personality and social psychology by publishing scientific journals, organizing an annual conference, and maintaining close ties with science advocacy offices in the American Psychological Association and the Association for Psychological Science.
