Information Session: Mercy Home for Boys and Girls Wednesday, April 15, 1 to 2 p.m. Mercy Home for Boys and Girls is a therapeutic residential facility for at-risk youth in Chicago. The home provides young people in its full-time care the tools they need to develop as people, as students, and as contributing members of society. We also assist hundreds more by connecting them to a vast network of accredited professional service-agencies throughout metropolitan Chicago. We partner with our children’s families to promote emotional and psychological healing. Information Session: Educational Service Center of Central Ohio Thursday, April 16, 11 to 12 p.m. The ESC of Central Ohio is hiring students and alumni to serve with AmeriCorps in one of three programs, all working to improve student outcomes from grades K-12. For each program, our Members receive extensive training (3 weeks) in September, then serve 30 hours/week at a school from October through the end of the school year. Each program requires 30 hours per week. Members receive a stipend of $800 per month, plus an education award of $3,059 for student loans or tuition. What To Do If Your Summer Career Plans Have Been Altered or Canceled Thursday, April 16, 12 to 1 p.m. As COVID 19 spreads throughout the U.S., many companies have altered the method in which they perform everyday business operations. As a result of this, your summer 2020 plans may be altered or even canceled. We do not know how long COVID 19 will continue to spread, so we want you to be prepared to know options that you may have. The Economics and Statistics Administration provides high-quality economic analysis and fosters the missions of the U.S. Census Bureau and the Bureau of Economic Analysis.
